ISGC is a conference, organized by our friends Simon, Vicky and Stelle from Adacemia Sinica in Taipei. The 2020 conference was postponed to 21 - 26 Mar, 2021.

The HEPiX forum brings together worldwide Information Technology staff, including system administrators, system engineers, and managers from High Energy Physics and Nuclear Physics laboratories and institutes, to foster a learning and sharing experience between sites facing scientific computing and data challenges.

The Photon and Neutron Open Science Cloud (PaNOSC) and the European Open Science Cloud Photon and Neutron Data Service (ExPaNDS) projects are organizing, jointly with the Extreme-Light-Infrastructure (ELI), a “Photon and Neutron EOSC symposium” on 9 November 2020 followed by the “2020 PaNOSC & ExPaNDS Annual meeting” on 10-11 November 2020.

The EOSC Symposium 2020 brings together researchers, data scientists, e-Infrastructures, Research Infrastructures, EOSC projects, EOSC Working Group members and representatives of the EU27 Member States and associated countries to discuss the final steps towards the establishment of a first version of a fully-fledged European Open Science Cloud.

Quantum Technologies are one of the most ambitious technological goals of science today. With the so-called Quantum Advantage these novel technologies are working on completely different principles than classic technology. They have the potential to solve the challenges in our future projects, to change the way how we perform our science research and to maximize the achievable success. Quantum Technologies demand for a rethinking of our methods, pioneering work improves already now our classical methods. The workshop concentrates on Quantum Computing and on Quantum Sensors and their applications. It features introductory lectures as well as reports about ongoing activities. In addition a hands-on session with access to a quantum computer is organized.

Once a year dCache developers, sysadmins and friends from around the world meet to exchange news and best practices and gossip. In the past those meeting were held in beautiful cities around the world like Amsterdam, Madrid, .. Taipei, Hamburg and many more. Due to the current situation, this years meeting was held as VC only, at 26/27 May in the afternoon hours.
